Movement

I once had a dance teacher yell at me that I move like a wet noodle. Traumatic? Deeply. Accurate? Proudly so. I’ve grown to embrace my noodleness! As a movement artist, I bring my background in acting and clowning to the dances I embody, focusing on clear storytelling and legibility to audiences who might be unfamiliar with dance. I also have a passion for partnering.

As a dance-maker, I often create intimate, site-specific work that utilizes given surroundings such as furniture pieces, found objects, and natural landscapes. I specialize in developing movement with people who don’t identify as dancers. Check out my current projects here, and head over to my education page to learn about my teaching offerings.
